Figure skating isn't just for kids anymore!

The Lakeshore Adult FSC is a Skate Canada club for figure skaters over 25 years of age. We are located in Montreal and are part of the Lac St. Louis Region.

We are a small group of figure skaters, who focus mostly on dance. Some of us also spend our time doing freestyle and skills. We are all at all different levels of difficulty, take private or semi-private lessons and have ice time at arenas located in Cote St. Luc and Beaconsfield. As it can be intimidating to test with the younger generations, we hold adult-only test days (for members only), twice a year. Since many of us skate at different arenas, it is really nice to see everyone together at these test days... and of course we love to cheer on and support our club members.

Many of us started figure skating when we were younger and returned again as adults. Some of us have only started as adults, after many years of loving the sport from a distance. Either way, we all love the sport!

For more information about the club or how to become a member, please leave a post, send us an email or give us a call. We always welcome new members.

And now for the best part... We now have a new home on the web to share news, post photos and even videos. Our hope is that this new blog will help us stay in touch and be a place where we can all share media.

Here's to the new home of the Lakeshore Adult FSC and to a great 2010-2011 season!

  1. That's very cool!! Are Cote St. Luc and Beaconsfield the only arenas where you can skate as part of this program?
